On Tuesday, 3 October, a few members of the LFP team paid a visit to some very special little ones at the Avril Elizabeth Home in Germiston.

Established in 1970 as a safe haven for people with disabilities, the Avril Elizabeth Home is well known for the good work it does, particularly for its role in caring for children with disabilities. Right now, the home looks after over 150 disabled residents, not only attending to their day-to-day needs, but also helping them to realise their full potential through their specialised stimulation centre.

As this is a cause that is very close to our own hearts, we decided to donate some much-needed funds and spend time with the home’s resident children. With snack packs, cake and colourful balloons in hand, we arrived at the home and were humbled by the warm welcome we received.

“It was a touching experience to spend some time with these kids and getting to see their faces light up when they saw the treats we brought for them,” says LFP Marketing & Advertising Manager, Jacolien Botha.
